Solitude Mountain Resort takes pride in providing excellent guest service. The expectation of all staff members is to maintain a demeanor and appearance consistent with our image and guest expectations. Some employees are given a uniform to represent their specific department. If your position does not require a uniform, you should dress in a manner that is clean, safe, and appropriate for your job.
Solitude Mountain Resort does not offer on-site housing, but a variety of affordable seasonal, and year-round options are available in the greater Salt Lake City area. If you do not have your own transportation, be sure to look for housing that is located near the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus service stops as your employment with us includes a great perk: a complimentary UTA Ski Bus pass for bus service from various points in Salt Lake City to and from work.

Check out ksl.com or other websites for assistance with finding local housing and rental properties close to Big Cottonwood Canyon. From private homes to apartments, townhomes and condominiums, to rooms in shared homes, you will find a wide array of options in the Salt Lake Valley. With our location just 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, there are many options for housing readily available.
Solitude Mountain Resort is located just 14 miles from the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon and a 30-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City. Many employees ride-share from strategically located parking lots and park-n-rides throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Carpooling is very much encouraged!

During the winter season, a complimentary Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Ski Bus pass is provided to every employee. Visit rideuta.com for updated ski bus information, schedules, and services.

Solitude also provides UTA van pools for employees to travel up and down Big Cottonwood Canyon to Solitude. This helps cut down on canyon traffic and provides alternative transportation during poor weather conditions during the winter season.
