The Solitude Big Mountain Team is a season-long non-competitive program for skiers and snowboarders ages 10 through 18. Students train for and pursue high-end, all-mountain skiing and snowboarding on Saturdays and/or Sundays. This program provides kids the chance to refine their skills in a fun environment with the goal of creating well-rounded athletes who understand and display sportsmanship, teamwork, and mountain etiquette. Areas of emphasis include off-piste freeskiing and snowboarding, moguls, steeps, trees, and mountain awareness.

To join the team, members must be able to ski or snowboard expert runs safely and be capable of carving aggressive turns in a parallel stance. Our coaching staff applies IFSA, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Freeski Training System, SkillsQuest, and PSIA methodologies.
